These shims are used to keep film from telescoping while being cut slit on a Film Handler machine. The shim is placed on the roller to fill the gaps that may exist between the 6 hubs and film to ensure a correct tight fit. You can use or combine 1 4 thick and 1 8 thick shims to get the fit just right.
